The men who were guarding Jesus began mocking and beating Him. They blindfolded Him and demanded, “Prophesy! Who hit you?” And they said many other insulting things to Him.

Jesus was blindfolded…beaten…mocked…and insulted….and He didn’t say a word. He took the beating and the slandering. Why? For you and me. He closed His mouth and took the punishment, the pain, and the hurt and bore it for us. And this was just the beginning. He did it for you…because He loves you that much. It should’ve been us taking on that hurt for the sin we have gotten tangled up in. It should’ve been us having to offer a sacrifice. It should’ve been us facing death and torment. But praise be to God. Give Him praise today…lift up His name today…because you and I are forgiven. God is good!
