Early in the morning, as Jesus was on His way back into the city, he was hungry. He saw a fig tree, but when He got close to it He saw that it had no fruit. Jesus said to that tree that it will never bear fruit again, and immediately the tree withered up.
The disciples were amazed and asked themselves how the tree withered up so quickly.
Jesus replied to them that if you have faith without doubt, you can do that too. In fact, you can tell this mountain to throw itself into the sea and it would happen. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
What we see here is another example of how with God all things are possible. What I want to focus on is how Jesus says if you have faith WITHOUT DOUBT. I believe there are many times we claim to have faith, but somewhere in us we question if God will show up…we question His motives. In order to truly see God’s power at work, we have to remain doubt. Remove it from our personal struggles. Our failed relationships, our broken homes, our illnesses, etc. If we approach God in prayer in full confidence…He will always give us what we need…knowing it’s not what we want but what He wants. Rid yourselves of doubt today…have complete faith that God will show up in your weakest moments and shine through your struggles no matter what the situation because He is greater. Just have faith!
